"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has."- Margaret Mead
The NC Chapter of the Huntington's Disease Society of America is 1 of 54, volunteer led chapters and affiliates across the country. We motivate and inspire those affected by HD-reminding them that they will never walk alone. HDSA North Carolina stands strongly beside them.
We host numerous events through out the year, Team Hope Walks, Bowl-a-Thon, Hoop-a-Thon, and HD Education Day. We raise critical funds and awareness for education, support groups, Centers of Excellence, and services for our familes that are affected by HD in North Carolina. Our goal is to increase our impact and recruit new volunteers. Help us extend our reach to our North Carolina friends.
We meet by phone 10 times a year and 2 times in person. Our Volunteers help with event planning, writing, social media, volunteer recruiting, and much more. If you, a family member, or a friend is impacted by Huntington's Disease or eager to volunteer with a mission based organization, this is the time to get involved. There are Scientist currently working on ways to delay the onset, stop the disease progression, and find a cure.
Every contribution of time and energy is appreciated and helps us support NC HD families. There's alot of work to do.
I would love to talk with about how much our HD families appreciate efforts and how rewarding it can be for you and your family.
Will you join our team today?
